August was summery to the extreme. Reading books and swimming at the lake, gorging on raspberries, chatting on the porch with friends over various iced beverages (Tempt 7 was my favourite), late dinners with lots of salad and corn, weekend trip to Banff with the family, boogie boarding in Tofino, driving the dog crazy, a picnic in Emily Murphy park, waffles with fresh picked blackberries… I feel like I’ve hit even keel again. This semester will be fine. If not, now I have two waffle irons!
